Mushroom Seed Nepal and Research Center has been playing a leading role in the research and advancement of the production of mushroom spawns (seeds) and mushroom cultivation in Nepal. It has been producing and distributing spawns of different varieties of mushrooms such as Oyster, Shiitake, and Button throughout Nepal, after being regularly tested on farms.
This organization has been producing spawns by importing pure cultures from other countries and also cultivating wild mushrooms after collecting them from the forest and developing their pure culture. Additionally, this institution is the first in Nepal to cultivate Reishi mushrooms commercially.
