South Asian Women in Media (SAWM) is a network of women media professionals in South Asia where the officials and members of SAWM are the leading media persons of their respective countries. It was established as a loose network in 2008 in South Asia to advocate for eliminating gender-based discriminations and creating a more equitable, inclusive and secular society through media mobilization at the local, national and international levels.
