The Everest Region trekking is home to many of those towering elevations festooned in snow and ice, including the highest of them all, Mt Everest. Of the fourteen peaks in our planet that have been pushed upwards beyond 8000 metres, three happen to fall in this region: Mt Everest (8,848 m), Mt Lhotse (8,516 m) and Mt Cho Oyu (8,201 m). These three are certainly wonders. However, to perceive them as the only ones influential would be a mistake. The surreal Mt AmaDablam, the imposing Mt Nuptse or the soothing Mt Pumori; the inviting Island Peak and the Lobuche Peak or the teasing Mera Peak; the tranquil Gokyo Lakes or the mysterious Khumbu Glacier; all add to the energy one feels once in the terrain of the Everest.
